In my opinion, this update is having the opposite effect that it should. It prevents me from being able to see the lobby to access other people's seek ads, and conversely prevents people from being able to see mine after clicking create game. This has the effect of filtering me away from 3 0 or 5 0 players who would be willing to play a game with increment, and prevents me from seeing their ads if I feel it's taking too long to get paired for a game and I'm at the point where I'm willing to forego the increment so that I can get a game in. The quick game feature is unnecessary, unless pools are implemented ICC style (which I would be all for). Thanks for everything you do for this site!
Hi, I have to agree with this. I'm sure there must be good reasons for this quick game functionality but my experience has not been great. Often I have to wait longer and get paired against lower rated players than I would have in the lobby previously.
I don't know whether this is a general problem or affects the higher rated players more but, personally, this is making lichess almost unusable for me - as shame as it was great before!

It was much better when I could make my 10 0 challenges,
and was accepted in a few seconds.

I saw these changes recently, and I dislike it too. New quick tab feature is bad and it conflicts with old lobby feature. Also I'd like to say that new puzzles are disastrous. I'd like lichess revert changes as it was before.
How can you claim the new puzzles are disastrous? Imo they are amazing and the new engine UI is crazy.
Also the quick game pools are working great now. The start was a bit bumpy 2 weeks ago, but all bugs were quickly fixed, and now all players get quick games with much lower rating diff than the lobby can possibly achieve.
I dont mind the quick game feature, but why did you make it 15+15? Never in my entire chess life have I ever encountered this time control anywhere but lichess. Surely the common 15+10 would be preferable?
I picked the most popular time controls played on lichess.
