Why was this game aborted

Somebody please explain why this game was aborted, it was going along fine. I was clearly winning with plenty of time in a rated game. It appeared my opponent was hate waiting me and let his clock run all the way out and then once his time runs out, it aborts and I get no credit for the win, what the hell. Is it a system thing, did he hack me, did I do something wrong, what the hell. Would love an explaination at least.

I still have no idea how this game aborts after 44 moves and a winning advantage to black with plenty of time on the clock, whites time ran out ???

Game aborted in this manner means something happened on the server side that caused it to drop the game. I'm not exactly sure what situations trigger this... it's very rare.
