Playing lots of games, slow not fast, is really the best way to get better

i'm not sure that whole "play long timecontrols to improve" is valid, sure you get more time to think but you plow through and experience a lot more scenarios playing a not so long timecontrol. One can argue if I'm good or not but the majority of games I've played has been bullet or blitz.
