I've been playing on chess.com and my rating was going up so I decided to come back to lichess and play a little bit. To my surprise, it seems that people on my rating are now playing much better than they used to play here on lichess. I expected to go up on both sites, especially because lichess used to be easier. What happened?
Might have something to do with the controversial ratings change in the game seek mode.
People of all ratings seem to get more and more on the same level because they all learn openings 10 moves deep. But as soon as the middlegame starts you will notice the difference.
I noticed after I joined Lichess that I had a tougher time beating people than chess.com also. It’s Lichess rating system that’s easier
Lichess has a stronger pool of players.Most people have lower percentile here than on chess.com.
I mean that players on the rating I'm used to be on lichess are stronger than they were before on the same rating. My rating is going up on chess.com and, at the same time, going down here. That's weird.
The websites are two different sites. One website may have stronger players and the other not so much or stronger. Surprises are bound to happen after coming back to something after periods of time.
Its all same,im playing in both sites and i didnt noticed any difference,you will get back your rating...
I was thinking its been easier on this site lately.
