Sometimes when starting a game my ooponent dosent move. The server don't abort the game for some reason, no matter how long my opponent just sits there and do nothing. So my question is can I abort the game myself without any sanctions?
I know this problem well. So what else can you do, but to abort it yourself? There is simply no other choice. When you do this too often, you get banned for 5 minutes. Not a big deal of course, but still it makes me angry, because the other guy should be punished.
Just leave the page and start a new game, or open lichess in a new page.
So I get a ban for aborting a game where my opponent don't move. That is just wrong.
Also leaving the page dosent work for me. The game is still active when I get back to lichess.

ahem what is the game?
Yes Zernix, the game is still active, you are absolutely right. As I said, there is no other choice and this is wrong. It happened to me once that I got this ban and I closed my account therefore, because I just hate such things.
Wait 15 seconds before aborting or 45 if you want to blame them. http://en.lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/lichess-rewarding-players-that-dosent-move#2
From me also a thank you to flugsio for this information. Still I'm not convinced if this really works, because I tend to wait really long and still I once got this ban.
