Which is more logical 1.d4 or 1.e4?

Ok, first of all I dont want to begin WW III, I just want to ask you guys your opinion. If our goal is to bring 2 pawns to the center to have full control over it, which move would be more logical?

1.e4 Bringing first the unprotected pawn to e4 while you can before your opponent stops it

or

1.d4 Bringing first the protected pawn to d4 to later after some planification try to bring the other pawn to e4.

For me, it seems more logical to play 1.e4, and in fact I would only play that if I didnt need to also learn how to play 1.d4 to be a cult chess player.

What is your opinion?
1. d4 is my favorite. I still play e4 on occasion but d4 I like more. Both are equally as logical but it depends on your style of play (more or less). Even though there are complex attacking lines in d4, e4 is more popular for attacking lines. d4 is more positional over all. But they both control the center equally and are equally as good depending on your play style.
If you want a two-pawn center or a central majority, that seems to be achieved a lot more often after 1 d4 than 1 e4.

If you just want to play e4 and d4 to open lines and don't mind that one or both of those pawns gets swapped off rather quickly, then 1 e4 gets to that more often and faster than 1 d4.
Actually I do play c4 as well.

1. d4 50%
1. e4 35%
1. c4 10%
1. Nf3 2%
1. c3 2%
1. something else 1%.

I would say I dont, but Fischer played that move, so I would go to hell if I didnt care about it, at least in my Fischerian religion...
I think e4 is better because there are good openings to play like the ruy lopez and the italian.
1. c4 is 99% of my opening as white.
English opening change my chess life.
"I think e4 is better because there are good openings to play like the ruy lopez and the italian."

..only if you get in Response 1..e5 but 1..e6, 1..c5 1...d5 all opens tons of very different opening books to learn. If there was no other Option I guess I´d go for 1. d4 with a bit less theory than 1. e4.

But fortunately there is 1. c4! saving the day :)
