I think Carlsen will probably hold on to the crown for a couple of cycles. In those cycles he will probably face some combination of Caruana. Nepo, MVL and Ding (I'm hoping Aronian will qualify for a WC match but for every cycle it seem less and less likely). After that Firouzja will start to enter his prime and Carlsen will probably have peaked and be on a downward trend. So Firouzja seem like a pretty good guess right now. He has a long way to go though, so plenty of time for other young challengers to appear.

I think it will be still Magnus Carlsen if he plays his best. Otherwise it will be the 2nd world champion Levon Aronian 🏆🏆🏆.
