more then 20 moves without mat that was a pat

Not sure what you mean but I'll have an educated guess. Because I've heard the strangest rules when talking to noobs like:

"If KQ (KR) doesn't deliver mate in x (8,10, 20) moves then it is a draw."

Actually x=50 in this case.
yeah, i hear the strangest rules. it varies i've heard a 26 move rule, a 20 move rule. that's not enough time to mate if you have a bishop and knight for example. probably one of those things that people think is a rule so everyone teaches it to their buddies and then it becomes a kind of street rule like free parking.
