My opponent blundered the queen and leaves

I would not say that Lichess can't do anything about it, not categorically. But I agree it is very hard to implement some sort of measure that would not be overly complicated, or would really make sure not to punish players who were, for whatever technical or other reasons in life forced to let the clock run down, and did not do this intentionally (just leaving a losing game without resigning.) I do wish it were possible, because it REALLY happens a lot.

There are also players who are genuinely thinking about some way out in a seemingly hopeless situation. Nobody can tell.
A good solution is to play games with increment. Then you do not have to wait that long to get the win.
