Unicorns and other happy stuff.

To much war, degradation, inflation and other negative stuff.
Where is the positive news.
Where is the happy side of life?
We all know the world can be shit, it always has been.
But there can be good things happening too.

Sometimes no news is good news.
My boss haven't shouted at me for two whole weeks.
(Bare in mind, he is on a four week vacation)
So my glass is half full.

Anyone else have some happy things, going on in their lives right about now?
I spent the day in my wood shop making a new flute of padauk wood. Beautiful wood. It was a great day.
Sitting outside at my picnic table having my morning coffee when something bumps my ankle. Fat little German shepherd puppy, about 8 weeks old. Took it inside, gave it some cat food and it fell asleep.
About an hour later a little girl and her mom come up the street and the girl is calling Charley over and over and crying. I ask her mom what's wrong and she says she lost her puppy. I say wait a minute and go inside and get the puppy. Yep,it was Charley.

Good start to the day :)
I saw two red squirrels chase each other up and down the trees. These guys are fast!
I really like unicorns. I like them best in the form of meat loaf between the halves of a roll. Yummy!
Once as I'm walking along the street to go to work I see a squirrel, a robin and a blackbird all munching away at this pile of seeds somebody had left out. It was like a Disney film come to life. :)
I have a little bird-house on my balcony for feeding the birds in our neighbourhood. Visitors are mostly Great tits, Blue tits, Eurasian nuthatches, Eurasian blackbirds, European robins, but also the occasional Woodpecker. Most birds are used to my presence so they'll come and eat even when I'm sitting on the balcony (except for the Woodpecker who is extremely shy and only comes when he is alone).

Of course, being wild birds they don't want to come inside. Or so I thought. I was sitting in the living room, the balcony door was open and suddenly a Great tit came inside and landed on the cable of the ceiling lamp, looking down on me. Then she flew to the chair on the opposite of the table, landed on its back and looked at me again. When I calmly talked to her she took off, flew outside and sat down on the guard rail. But then she returned and came inside again, again landing on the cable of the ceiling lamp and looking at me.

With that return I knew that she was doing it intentionally and not because she had flown through the balcony door by accident. I got up, peered at the bird-house and indeed: The bowl with the bird-seed was empty. I filled it up and seconds later the bird was inside the bird-house to have his breakfast.

Made me feel good for the whole day.
