Any tips for the next marathon?

I can probably go the full 24 hours but I'm only 1500 in blitz. what should my plan be (if I can play 4-5 hours a day) to improve and be ready for the marathon?

btw, I'm aiming for top 500 if possible for the trophy

If you are 1500 Blitz, it will be very hard. The competition for the top500 is very intense and it never happened than a 1500 won the top500. My advice would be : work and watch a lot of video to progress as faster as possible, but just understand that under 1900, it would be quasi-impossible to reach this. So if you want to play 24h go, but it must be for the fun and to win against stronger people.
Your profiles says: Max time spent playing ... Longest streak: 38 minutes
Longest winning blitz streak is 6 games and losing streak is 8 games.
That's a total of 14 games.

If you win 300 + lose 400 = 700 games in 24 hours, than you might luck in.

If I'm not mistaken there's a browser extension to tell you when to berserk and when not to. So you might not need 700 games to win 300 points.

A player needs to be able to win at least 35 points every 3 hours. Then they can start hoping to be in the top 500.

To save time, resign the games you're losing. They are wasting your precious 3 hours. Only the winning games count in the Marathon. I have never succeeded in playing out the full marathon. My longest playing streak dates back to the year 2012. It was nearly 3 hours. So Every 3 hours, I'd be taking a break. That's time lost in the 24 hours too, but worth it if the win ratio can be maintained. The longer the breaks the more games you will need to win within the 3 hours.
Wow, thanks. Do u know the name of the browser extension by chance?

Hello.
As an already marathon awarded player I now some tactics.
At first I have to say that in Autumn 2023 @spideryt with 1774 was top 400.(search it)
So if you increase your rating at least 250 points then you have many many chances. This guy berserked in all of his games so you have to do the same and of course play 23 hours at least(you can have 5 min breaks during the tournament)
But you also have to be prepared!
The days before the marathon you have to rest your eyes and your mind.SO SEE NO SCREEN.Do something like drawing or go for a walk outside.Things to relax.
Before the marathon you also have to read some theory and solve a lot of puzzles. And if you can find a tournament with 5+0 time control(like the next marathon) and play the whole tournament and zerk 100% just to see how are you doing . I think I said all I know and I hope I helped.I really wanna see you top 500 because you would be the first one with so low rating to finish top 500. I will go for top 100 and I will use whatever I said before to be top 100.
So see you in the marathon!
@MyMouseFroze let me make it very clear: you are way too weak to think about top 500.

It doesn't matter how long you play. Soon enough, you will be paired only with players rated 2000+ on average, and you won't score any single point. It's not just quasi impossible. It's ABSOLUTELY impossible.

I tried twice, already having an established 1900-1950 rating. In the top 500, I got an opponent average of 2200+, so I got more and more frustrating losses, and top players with only few games but long winning streaks surpassed me left and right. I missed top 500 "only by 14 points", but how should I get these points from the last hours if every opponent is 400 points stronger? Not even talking about tilting and general suffering...

Talk again when you're at least 1900. You won't get there within just a few weeks.
